Chapter 1
1. What problems or conflicts are presented in chapter one? Tao needing to find a rabbit is an obvious one; identify at least two more.
One of the problems that Tao haves in chapter 1 is that if he get caught drawing and painting and things like that he could get severely punished or they could decide to banish him.The second problem is he doesn't really like to hunt so when they go hunting for the clan he usually goes back empty handed and sometimes he has to pay for that problem.
2. Predict the resolution of each conflict.
If he continues to draw pictures of things i think he is going to get caught doing so sooner or later.If he keeps on coming back empty handed I think they might not let him hunt anymore maybe they'll make him help around the clan instead or hunting with the men and boys.

One important event is that Tao has a interesting dream about him finding a cave with yellow,red,and black paint,and he uses that paint to draw make animals.Another important event is when Tao encounters the wolf and Tao told the wolf that he comes now to get food instead when Tao offered food to the wolf , but when Tao looks closer its not because of the food its because there is a piece of bone stuck deep in to wolf's jaw .Tao decided to help the wolf take it out ,so tao jumps on the wolf holding it and not letting go pulls the bone out of the wolf's jaw.

Tao and Ram learn to hunt together.

Tao tells Volt that he wants to hunt alone and with his wolf dog Ram.

I think the reverse was true(was it not true then, but true now).I thinks this because there are much more bad things that could happen to you if you did not follow the laws.

The year 2007.Some people want to do art in a certain way, but the way they want to express that kind of art is a little taboo (graffiti) even though sometimes what they do is nice.Also sometimes they want to show their art to the public , so they do it on walls that don't belong to them.They should do it and follow their dreams to draw and paint , but i think they should do it somewhere else like on a big piece in their house instead of doing it on other walls that don't belong to them because if they do it on walls they are destroying others property because they don't want that art on their wall.

I think Graybeard changed his mind because he might have seen that he has some talent and maybe he would die soon ,since he is old, and would need someone to take his place.Graybeard could have Thought that Tao wanted to paint and draw images very much and thought that he should teach his to do it right.

This tells me that Graybeard is a nice and caring person.

The "mountains-that-walk"are the enormous mammoths.

Tao almost died because he got too close to a mammoth.The mammoth through Tao on the ground a lot.Tao also got wounds from the reed grass.

It was and amazing chapter. I thought Tao was going to die when he was fighting Saxon.I couldn't believe that Tao beat Saxon in a fight.I was thinking that he would have gotten stabbed by Saxon's horn and died.It was just an amazing chapter!

Tao feels he need to go to the Mountain People because tao is now following the footsteps of Graybeard.Also because he was already accepted as a cave painter to the Valley People and now he needs to be accepted by the Mountain people.

Tao walks across the river with Ram to the Mountain People,but the river current was very strong.The river current knocked over Ram.At once he went after Ram.It was a hard battle against the currents ,but after a very hard swim he got to Ram and got him the shore.After he starts walking to the mountain people he once again he finds the red-bearded leader,which his name Dax, and his hunters not too far from the river."Why have to come here once again?"said Dax. "I have not come here to trouble you." replied Tao "Then why have you came?" Dax asked "I have become the new cave painter and i want to prove it to you."Tao said "I have heard what happened.....the whole story there is no need to prove it to me i just need to see if its true you are a great cave painter."said Dax "Then I will show you"said Tao,so Tao found a vacant cave and used it to show Dax his skills.Dax was amazed......
